What is the QR for travel to Panama?

It is a mandatory travel form for all international arrivals (including nationals or foreigners) who want to enter Panama. It generates a QR Code that you must present to government officials to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Requirements to enter Panama

Travelers will not have to present a negative COVID-19 test to enter as long as they can present a card or digital certification of at least 2 doses or complete vaccination schedule endorsed by WHO, EMA and FDA, equal or greater than 14 days after their last dose.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers with an incomplete vaccination schedule must present a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test within 72 hours at the time of arrival in Panama.

If it is not possible to present a test within the established period, the traveler must undergo a rapid COVID-19 test at the airport, which will be at the traveler’s expense, prior to passing through immigration (USD $50).

If the test is positive, the Ministry of Health will assign the stay in a Hotel Hospital for a period of 7 days. The cost of the stay must be covered in full by the traveler.

Any child or young person under 17 years of age will not be required to present a negative COVID-19 test or complete vaccination record if accompanied by an adult at the time of entry into Panama.

ALL travelers must present to the airline their completed Health Affidavit (in physical or digital form) BEFORE boarding to Panama.
